The Arte Povera (Poor Art) movement of the 1950s has emerged and evolved (or devolved) from artists working with discarded materials out of economic necessity-into an art for a culture that recognizes and embraces its refuse. This show explores a sampling of those artists who have become aware of our current condition of profuse refuse, as well as the inherent beauty of these abandoned and discarded everyday objects.
