It takes a great many people to enable SICA to operate. Some guide - some advise - some decide - while others provide SICA with the much-needed support. Volunteers are the backbone of SICA. We offers volunteer a great number of opportunities to selected area individuals. Volunteering at SICA is an immeasurable tool for the serious artist or art lover, and a way for them to become aware of the ins-and-outs of the art world. In addition, volunteering at SICA is viewed as a very valuable point on resumes and college applications. Volunteers will not only learn all about the day to day operations of a non-profit art institute but also benefit by developing skills in the areas such as art exhibitions, curatorial assistance, marketing, communications, graphics, music, general office and clerical skills, website design & web administration, technical computer skills, fundraising, organizing special events, and grant writing.

SICA offers internship opportunities to selected area College and High School students. These internships may be used for college credit when you are enrolled in a program allowing internships or independent studies in your required field. Internships are an immeasurable tool for the serious art or art history student to become aware of the ins-and-outs of the art world. In addition, an internship with SICA is viewed as a very valuable point on resumes and college applications.
